Name: Lemricos
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Birthdate (Season): Late Spring
Location: Quindell Weyr
Rank: Candidate / Journeyman Healer
Wing (if applicable):
Family:
Physical Appearance: Lemricos is a tall, as in 6 ft 3, and somewhat slender young man. He's built for speed over strength, which makes him better at reaching his patients quickly, and administering treatment on the spot. His limbs are long and thin, including his fingers, making him ideal for the basic surgery Pern can offer. His skin is pale - not in a sickly way, instead it adds to his delicate appearance.
His hair is a reddish-brown, with natural highlights that can make some areas of his hair look more strawberry blonde. His eyes are a hazelnut brown, and somewhat almond shaped. His eyes are a little larger than what one might expect, making him look trustworthy. His cheekbones, jaw and nose are also delicate, somewhat dainty, and very attractive. His lips are soft, and he is one of those men who can't grow a beard to save his life.
His skin texture is soft, and he smells of sweet-smelling salts. His hair is jaw length with a natural wave to it. While he would never say if he actually had one or not to a person - he does indeed have a "six-pack" although it may not be as defined as the more muscled men.
Personality: With looks like his, one would expect Lemricos to be a vain man, but in actual fact, he couldn't care less about how attractive he looked. He has a sensible head on his shoulder, always has done, and always seems far more mature than what should be expected of him. While he doesn't have the soft, gentle personality that his appearance suggests, he isn't the violent, overbearing kind that would be the complete opposite.
He's somewhere in the middle. He doesn't want to lead, purely because the responsibility would be too stressful. Lemricos is the kind who wants the easy road in life, but if pushed, he will take the helm and leave with as few casualties as possible. Strong willed when he has to be, and very commanding, Lemricos is the kind of leader who gains respect for teaching followers in a way which feels like he isn't teaching them.
Lemricos is very relaxed, unless it comes to his job. When in the role of a healer, he uses all of his skills to the best of his ability and very often surprises people with his ability to think ahead. He is intelligent, but tends not to show it often. He doesn't like to show off, and he isn't a fan of those who do.
So what are his flaws? Well, for one, he is very lazy. That is why he needs someone or something to push him into doing anything worthwhile. A second, which goes for probably the majority of the male side of the human race, is that he doesn't understand women at all. They're confusing, but then, so are men. Lemricos will date both men and women, but has the idea in his head that he will meet "the one" soon, and therefore will never go further than the possible peck on the cheek.
Another flaw, is that he will never ever harm someone who he considers a friend or an ally, no matter what they do to him. He will protect his friends and allies against potential threats and enemies with the whole force of his life, and doesn't expect the same in return, and he will always bend over to allow a friend to reach their goal.
He never loses his temper, so he can't be provoked into harming something, and he will always show mercy if necessary. He doesn't dream big - all he wants to do is to find a woman (or man), settle down, have a boy and a girl (adopted if with a man), and live the rest of his life in peace.
History: Lemricos had rather simple beginnings. An only child, he never had the troubles siblings had, and he never felt the pressure of keeping up with everyone else. Even from a young age, he was intelligent. When playing with friends, if there was something that they couldn't agree on, he would find the best way to make it a fair decision between the whole group. He was always the one who looked after the ones more likely to be picked on, and the least likely person to start any fights.
As he grew older, things became more complicated. His parents gave him a decision that would lead him to the rest of his life. He had to chose a craft he wanted to apprentice in, and only he would make that decision. He thought long and hard, and while most children had ideas of being a Harper, Lemricos didn't want that path. To him, such a path wasn't useful. And while, like most boys, he had dreams of himself riding a dragon, to him that was just a dream, one that very few saw come true.
In the end, he chose the Healer craft. He only came to this decision when one of his friends fractured a bone in their arm, and instead of screaming and running away like his other friends did, Lemricos tried his best to secure the limb before finding a more experienced healer. The sling he made was somewhat make-shift - comprised of his own shirt - but the healer was surprised at how well a nine year old had reacted to the situation, and suggested that the young boy go into the healer craft in the start of the next Turn.
He signed up for the craft exactly one turn later, with a recommendation from the Healer. He had spent the last turn learning whatever he could from the man, and when he joined the craft, he was already ahead of his class. Because of this, he advanced quickly, five turns into the craft performing the basic surgeries some journeymen still had difficulty with. The only issue his masters had with Lemricos was his inability to overcome his laziness. He felt no need to advance further than Senior Apprentice, as some of his classmates were still at Junior level.
If it hadn't been for one Healer's sharp eye, Lemricos would likely have stayed a Senior Apprentice. The Healer noticed, to some amusement during a particularly trick operation in which the Journeyman in charge was absent, Lemricos had a rather commanding presence when left with responsibility, and quickly informed the other healers of this. They kept a closer eye on Lemricos, and found that this was accurate information indeed. They called him to a meeting, and persuaded him to take the Journeyman exam.
Lemricos took the exam, and passed, becoming a Journeyman at the young age of seventeen. Great things were expected of him from this point, and Lemricos could already feel the jealousy of his peers growing behind his back. He did his best to help them, without sounding like an insufferable know-it-all, and while he gained the admiration of some, others began to resent him, and strived to undermine him in everything he did.
These were troublesome times, and the other healers noticed. Lemricos was sent to Quindell Weyr as a new healer. As he arrived, he met a green-riding Search-rider about to leave to gather candidates for a new clutch on the Sands. It was at that point he became a candidate, and up until this point has been unsuccessful.

Which colors would you prefer/not prefer for this character to get?: I don't mind what he Impresses - Any colour can be quite interesting.
If it comes down to Impressing a certain color or be left standing: Nope, I wouldn't turn down the sickliest or most violent dragon out there, and when it comes to hide colour...well, I'll take anything as long as it's exciting.
Are you okay with the character impressing cross-gender?: Of course!
Are you okay with your candidate being mauled; if so, how much?: YES! MAUL AWAY! THE MORE DAMAGE, THE MORE BROWNIE POINTS! Okay, so enough with the capslock - anything short of death is fine.
Is this a stands candidate?: Nope
Any other traits (physical or personality-wise) you'd like to see/not see with your dragon?: THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES I CAN SEE HIM WITH! Honestly, I'll take whatever's thrown at me
Similar to above, rather be left standing than Impress a particular trait: No!
